Dates to remember for the Anoka County
4H Rabbit Project, 2008
April 22: Livestock Ethics Training – MANDATORY!
Watch for dates in the “Green 4H Update” for details
April 12th : State 4H Rabbit Spring Clinic (hosted by the State 4H Rabbit Committee). Held at Bunker Hills Activity
center. PREREGISTRATION REQUIRED. Contact Donna Abel @ 763-434-3735 for more Info.
April 27th : Open Youth Rabbit Fun Show (sponsored by the Anoka Co. 4H Rabbit Committee), at the Anoka Co. 4H building
(Anoka Co. Fairgrounds).
May 3rd : Tattooing & Animal ID verification at Bunker Hills Activity Center. Concurrent with Spring Workshop
day.
May 15th : Last day to purchase or lease rabbits for this project year – all animals. Must be ID’d
& verified by the appropriate verifying member on or before this date and turned into the Extension Office.
July 21st : Rabbit show at the Anoka County Fair.
July 21st – 23rd : Rabbit encampment at the Anoka County Fair.
July/Aug (Date TBA) – Mandatory meeting for State Fair Trip Winners.
August 20th – 24th : Rabbit encampment at the State Fair.
October 6th : Project records are due at the Extension Office.
