The State Livestock Committee has made some new requirements for verifying
your livestock. A member of our county rabbit verifying team needs to physically see each rabbit on your affidavit. All of
your rabbit's tattoos will be checked. They then can sign-off on the line on the bottom of the form. If you own more than
6 rabbits and are unable to bring them to one of the Tattoo and Verification Clinics, you must contact a member of the verifying
team to set up an appointment at your rabbitry. These appointments must be scheduled by May 1st and completed by May 8th.
Any last minute verification is discouraged and may not be possible. No additions can be made to the affidavit after it is
verified. If you obtain a new rabbit between your verification and May 13th, you are responsible to make a new appointment
with one of the verifying team members at their house and fill out a new affidavit. If you have babies which are too young
to be sexed by the verifying date, contact a verifying team member to find out the proper procedure. No rabbit may be verified
more than once - even on a lease form. No tattooing will be done at your rabbitry. The members of the verifying team are Karleen Gehrig (763-755-5946), Tony Paulus (763-434-8431),
Pam Iskierka (763-753-2753), and Donna Abel (763-434-3735).
