The Anoka County Rabbit Committee presents:
What: The 2008 Rabbit Tattoo & Verification Clinic.
When: Saturday May 3rd from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon
Held during Spring Workshop Day
Where: Bunker Hills Activity Center, outside of the building
Bring:
a.) Your rabbit(s) in a carrying cage (only healthy rabbits please)
b.) Your Ownership Affidavit form (we will have some available)
c.) Your rabbits pedigree for age & tattoo verification
We will forward your completed Ownership Affidavit to the Anoka Co. Extension Office.
Bring your rabbits to be verified by a member of the verifying team so your Ownership Affidavit is valid and you are eligible
to show at the county fair.
Note: All rabbits must be tattooed and the Ownership Affidavit (which includes the tattoo) must be received at the Anoka
County Extension office by May 15th, 2008, in order to show your rabbit at the County Fair, this requirement includes Cloverbuds.
Even if you are not sure if you will be showing at the fair – get your tattooing and verification done and ownership
affidavit in on time so you don’t loose the opportunity to show during the County Fair.
!! STATE LIVESTOCK RULES – NO EXCEPTIONS !!
Due to the requirements by the State Livestock Committee a member of our county rabbit verifying team needs to physically
see each rabbit on your affidavit. All of your rabbit’s tattoos and sex will be checked. The verifying member
can then sign off on the line at the bottom of the form. If you own more than 6 rabbits and are unable to bring them to this
Tattoo & verification Clinic you must contact a member of the verifying team to set up an appointment at your Rabbitry.
These appointments must be scheduled by May 5th and completed by May 12th. Any last minute verification is discouraged and
may not be possible. No additions or changes can be made you the affidavit after it is verified. If you obtain a new rabbit
between your verification and May 15th you are responsible to make a new appointment with one of the verifying team members
at their house & fill out a new affidavit. If you have kits (babies) that are too young to be sexed by the verifying
date, contact a verifying team member to find out the proper procedure. No rabbit may be verified more than once –
even on a lease form.
No tattooing will be done at your Rabbitry.
